I just finished updating the forum, but am getting an error warning. I'm going to check on the warning and see if I can fix it. For now, just keep an eye out for things not working and please let me know if you find something.

Umm, nope.

HTTP input character conversion is improperly configured

mbstring.http_input must be set to pass. You can check the current value on the PHP information page.

And phpbb.com was no help in figuring out what it means.

reset my log in.......seems ok to me

I've been getting an error message in the admin panel. Got that fixed by my host. I'm hoping that fixed the log in problems people have been having.

Looks different? I didn't change the look.

We have a spammer, looks like we have to turn off new admissions again after the update. I'm working on it.


Edit to add: Actually, we had 3 new members today but only one posted a spam message - in Russian. I disabled new admissions and deleted the 3 pests.

Xjmt was having trouble logging in. Has that been taken care of?

I haven't heard any more from him. Not sure he has posted since then.

He and I have been going over this by email. He still isn't having any luck. The biggest barrier is that he's using a mac and I never could understand those things. I did however, find an article thru google to show him how to delete his cookies. They are most likely the problem he's having.
