I was shocked when I went there. Snopes is a reputable website with lots of great and needed information.

I didn't get any popups. Firefox must have blocked them.

IE7 blocked all the popups, because I heard it ding.

And I knew the cell phone thing was a hoax, but I have had to block all data calls to my phone due to spammers. So you all will never see me texting in the car, like I see people doing every day
