They had a documentary on TV yesterday about those two guys with body armor and automatic weapons who robbed a bank a couple of years ago. That was California I believe. Snow's not so bad.

By the way they made a very good movie about that incident.

Yeah.....that was in L.A. :( Just about every TV channel had it on, too. Hadn't realized that there was a movie made about it....but, that doesn't surprise me...they make movies about everything, these days. I'm not a big MOVIE person, anyway.....but, I'm sure if I'd heard about this movie I wouldn't have gone to see it. Why 'rehash' something like that when you've seen it 'live', so to speak....not to mention that it was scary as he**. It was like trying to take down a steel wall with pop guns.

A really terrific part of the movie came near the end when the cops send two of their own to a gun shop to purchase comparable weapons and you see the two cops running along the highway with a shopping cart full of guns. As it turned out they didn't need them.

It's really bad when the bad guys have better body armor and guns than the cops do. I listened to the play-by-play of that one until I got home just in time to see the end.
It was not a good day for cops. I wouldn't have wanted to be one of those people who were driving thru eather.

As the incident was happening it was on TV on the East coast also. CNN I believe. I was totally stunned at what I was seeing so when we found out about the video we just had to see what they would do to the story. It's filmed in a sort of pseudo documentar style and winds up being very effective film making. Of course they only had 2 hours to tell the story so it is a little truncated.

Two inches of snow here last night. More expected over next few days.

Bright side - better than what New England's getting.

We may get snow???? HERE????????? that's what the forcast says.
To give you an idea, the only time it has ever snowed in Galt, was when I was a kid (that's BD- before dirt) and the only way you knew it was snowing was to look thru a streetlight.
Now, for the first time since, it is forecast to snow here. The forecast is only calling for a trace, but it's the idea of it. It's not supposed to snow here. That's East Coast stuff.

A record 60 deg yesterday and so far today 30 deg with a wind chill of 15. Tomorrow is predicted to not get out of the teens. The Ohio motto? "Never pack away your long johns." :crying:

Re "It's not supposed to snow here"

That's what they thought in Sunnydale in the "Amends" episode of Buffy. :)

It didn't snow (here) but it's currently a high of 36. It's downright cold, and no heater in the house. Hmmm, I think I have got to get that repairman busy.
