Yesterday's GUNSMOKE; a man and his son from Sweden come to America seeking to set up shop. That tall, gangly, blond son eventually went on to be known as John Voight.

Today's GUNSMOKE had a slick thief and (some say) murderer played by a young actor named William Shatner.

I wonder what ever happened to those guys?? :scratchhead:

As I recall, Shatner later played a cop, and then a lawyer. Oh, and I seem to recall that he was on an early Twilight Zone, where he fought a monster on an airplane. I think there was something else as well, but I'm spacing out on that.

Yesterday's GUNSMOKE guests were Tom Skerrit (Aliens + many others) and an actor named Mike Kellin. There's a younger actor currently with a very similar name but not him. He had what he himself described as a face that looked "lived in". Scraggly actually He usually played enlisted service men in war stories and comedies in spite of having once been a Lt. Cmdr in the Navy. Saw him once on stage in NYC in a play then titled "Duck Variations". I'm positive the play became a success on Bd'wy with a different title.

It was two old guys in a park who meet every day to talk and argue. It also involves a mugger and a young lady in distress. Hope somebody here can remember the title. I think the actor who played the Dad in NUMB3RS and a school teacher in an earlier TV series was in both the movie version and a later stage version.
