biblical creationism-2

A Question one must answer in this discussion is HOW OLD IS THE WORLD? Is the world billions of years old as the scientists claim, or is was the world created a maximum of ten thousand years ago? Catastrophism has a third explanation for this but I am ignoring that.
The biggest sticking point in the Biblical Creation versus Evolution discussion, besides missing links, is the dinosaur fossiles. Explaining how they can possibly exist according to the Biblical discriptions is tough. The Bible does not mention dinosaurs anywhere. How could they exist if they were not mentioned in the bible.
This is a point where several schools of thoughts diverge on the subject. There are those who do not take the classic 4000 BC time line as the absolute truth, but suggest that until mankind was created, millions of years had passed. If one takes this tact, why not simply accept Evolutionary theory? Others say that the dinosaurs were there, just not named by Adam. Why would you not name something that big? Others say that God may have made and destroyed a lot of animals before coming up with those named in the bible. Some say that God, or the devil, put them in the rocks to confuse mankind. I generally refer to ten thousand years ago, due to vaguarities involved with the time lines between different cultures.

Re "Question....why do we need two topics with the same title?"

Maybe Roger was trying to improve the chance that at least one of them would stay on topic? :D
