This forum software, like most others, has a cache folder where it stores frequently used pages. (your browser does this too) It's purpose is to make the forum load faster. For some reason, this feature gets lost from time to time and can't write to the cache folder properly. So what happens is that there are inconsistancies in the files and the software doesn't know what to do with them. That's why you get a blank white page. I am currently looking for a way to turn this feature off as it really (in my opinion) isn't needed.
I've cleared the cache for now, and have been clearing it monthly since installing this version, but I may need to clear it more often. I'll do my best to stay on top of it and get things fixed. Please be patient. :) I'm not a php programmer.

Is there any way to put the clearing of the cache on an automatic schedule like virus checks and back-up of home computers? Sort of get the system to work for you?

That's one of the things I'm looking at. I don't know php coding, so I have to rely on others who do know, and know this software to write it for me. Currently, I'm just waiting for a reply on my first question.

Edit to add:
There is already a way to force the forum to recompile the cache files. I don't know if this is going to work, but I'm trying it just in case. (just won't hold my breath)
