Anyone having login problems?

Post by trucker2000 » Mon Dec 17, 2012 3:33 pm

I do know of one member having login problems. What I want to know is if anyone else is having problems?
Personally, I haven't experienced any using google chrome. I auto login.

No problems here.

I assume the user you mentioned is Xjmt. I contacted him on Facebook and asked if he still had issues. He said he can't find any reason for his computer to be the culprit. He's cleared the cache to no avail. Whenever he tries to sign on it rejects him and has him transcribe a Captcha. He can't change his password, either.

Umm, layout hasn't changed.

Yes. I still can't figure out what the problem is. I'm still working on it.

Thanks!

The only layout change I've noticed is that it seems to be using a larger font than it used to.

Well, this worked. Now I have to log in with my real username so I can figure out why xjmt can't log in.

As for the font, I've noticed that too. Thought it was my computer. I'll check that out whilst I'm in the admin panel.

btw: just in case you haven't figured it out, this is trucker.

Ok. Odd. Well at least he can log in with the new username I made him. I'll have to dig to find out why his regular account still isn't working.
Oh well. If someone talks to him, please tell him that he can log in with xjmt2 using the password I sent him. Tell him to make sure to use all lower case for both. I can't tell him as I'm not at home, and don't have email on my laptop.

I've sent him several emails today. Hopefully the problem is fixed now. It seems that when my host changed to the new style urls, "http://trucker2000.net" from http://www.trucker2000.net that it broke my cookies. :crying: :coffee: (gotta have coffee with cookies right? Oh wait...wrong type of cookie)
Now that the board is giving the right url for the cookie, hopefully it will work.

For those who don't know, a cookie is a little text file on your computer that tells the forum your username, password, and a number that is in the database so the forum knows what you've read and what you haven't.

personally, I prefer cookies with frosting....just sayin.

I haven't had any problems. So, I thought everyone was just very busy. Though it seemed odd that EVERYONE has been so busy since, like early November. Is this what the problem has been. I hope "everyone" is still out there?? :-D

If you have had to re log in, that's my fault.
I had to change the name of the cookie to something unique in order to fix things that were causing problems. :nano: Sorry about that. :rotfl:
Oh, and for the record, I had to re log in as well. :coffee:
