Lately there hasn't been a whole heck of a lot to watch on TV.

you must be watching the wrong TV.

I have a husband with a remote control. And although I just bought a TV for me to watch in the bedroom, I really don't want to sit in there by myself. So big waste of money. ( And no computer in there either. )

Hmmm. I fold laundry in the bedroom. I practice my guitar in the bedroom. And even when vacuuming and cleaning the bedroom and bathroom the TV is on. For me a TV is company. See how any of this works for you.
