I want to preface this by saying that I do not support George Bush in his campaign for world domination, but I was still touched by this:

It's a 3MB flash movie, so be patient.

What version of quicktime do you have?

I don't think I have Quicktime installed on this computer. It's playing with the Flash Player.

.swf is the extension for Shockwave Flash. You can download a free Shockwave player here:

Thanks for sharing that, Anne, it's very nice.

With your caveat, I was afraid that it would wind up with some politician wrapped in a flag and kissing babies. Thankfully, it didn't. :)

I went over there a couple of times but it loads so slow on my dial up connection I gave up each time. But I promise, the next time I go make myself a pot of coffee I'll set the thing up then attend the coffee chore. :coffee: :IV:

Xjmt, it is worth the wait. :)
I uninstalled quicktime (that had decided to take over my puter) and now can watch. All I can say is... WOW.

OK! I finally got to view this site and the coffee's fine also. :IV:

PRO:

Now you see why I love photography? You can't tell that story with a movie anywhere near as well.

Would anyone have any idea where the music comes from?

Very well done and carefully timed production.

CONS:

Unlike the Vietnam war this looks like all the photos were government sanctioned. :dozy:

Kinda rushed on the caskets, wasn't it?

Too bad I only got to see this AFTER those "other" photos made the news.
Methinks every photo on this website is negated, in the minds of (especially) the Arab world by any one of the newer "prisoner" photos from Iraq. :temper:

Even basically good people go bad under pressure and when they're not restricted but rules and leaders. :banghead:

Do I support our troops? Of course I do. But like Vietnam they've been put in a basically "no win" situation by people who have absolutely no first hand knowledge of the military much less war. :barf:

Yes, I do put out the US Flag on special occasions. But only then. I don't want anyone to think I'm making a political statement now that the flag has beed usurped by certain political philosophies.

ps Speaking of which, who, what organization, is behind that web site? :scratchhead:

JT, as far as I know the site just belongs to an individual. I found it posted on another forum, and was impressed with it. I have never heard the music before and you can't get the name of it from the source file, since it is inside the flash file.

It looks like the site is owned by a school.

Whoever made that movie did an outstanding job and should have recieved a 4.0 grade for the year.
