Yes I watched much of the Country Music Awards show from New York City!?!

Yup! The big apple. My major joy was in seeing Keith Urban win a couple of awards. Gracious as always he gave lots of credit to Kenny Chesney for helping him along. He was an opener for Chesney only a couple of years ago and now he's out on his own and filling arenas.

There is no country music station in NYC which I find odd cuz I listened to Country music when I was a kid living in the NYC area. That's how I first discoverd guys like Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.

Our one car has X/M radio and that'll pull you away from regular AM/FM radio in a heartbeat. We drove from Cleveland to Arlington, VA and didn't touch the dial til we were in the mountainous areas of PA and had the signal drift for the first time during the trip. A subsequent trip to NYC netted similar results.

I forgot it was on and go to see only the last hour. I though Kenny Chesney genuinely happy for Keith when he won; at least it looked that way.

I probably missed a lot of good stuff.

Actually the advertisements for the CMA were stated thus: Check you local station for time and day.

I'm guessing some areas of the country would get the broadcast anywhere from tape-delay to a replay on another day when time could be made available. We don't watch much 'local' TV stations so it was pure blind luck to find the show.

Yeah, Chesney did look happy for Keith and a quick snippet of a previous Country Music Award show Keith looked real happy when Chesney won.

My only thought is if Urban is dating Nicole Kidman (as reported) then whatinthefrell does he need awards for??
