Converts RNA Enzyme to DNA Enzyme In Vitro Scientists at The Scripps Research Institute have successfully converted an RNA enzyme (ribozyme) into a DNA enzyme (deoxyribozyme) through a process of accelerated in vitro evolution. The molecular conversion or transfer of both genetic information and catalytic function between these two different genetic systems, which are both based on nucleic acid-like molecules, is exactly what many scientists believe occurred during the very earliest period of earth's existence.
(Okay great, but what's that in
English, por favor?

Well, in the American variant known as Redneck it's:
Scientists at Th' Scripps Research Insteetoote haf successfully cornvahted an RNA inzyme (ribozyme) into a DNA inzyme (deoxyribozyme) through a process of accelerated in vitro evolushun. Th' molecular cornvahshun o' transfer of both junetic info'mashun an' catalytic funckshun between these two diffrunt junetic systems, which is both based on nucleic acid-like molecules, is exackly whut menny scientists believe occurred durin' th' mighty earliess period of earth's exissence.
Cockney is a bit closer to the King's English, however:
Scientists at The Scripps Research Institute 'ave successfully converted an RNA enzyme (ribozyme) into a DNA enzyme (deoxyribozyme) frough a Queen Bess of accelerated in vitro evolution. The molecular conversion or transfer of boff genetic information and catalytic function between these two different genetic systems, wich are boff based on nucleic acid-like molecules, right, is exactly wot many scientists believe occurred durin' the right earliest period of earff's existence, do wot guvnor!
Any clearer now?

Taking a bite out of a fellow worker helps wasps recruit new foragers If you think you've got a bad boss, one who loves to chew people out, or if you work with backstabbing co-workers, be thankful you are not a wasp.
If you were, chances are your nestmates might bite you to communicate that it is time to leave the nest and forage for the colony, [...]

Nurses are needed everywhere. Without nurses, doctors wouldn't have anyone to blame. Although the docs I work with are not like that, it's the other nurses "eating their young" that are the problem!
Now...if you were to tell me that women trekkers who only want to give love are wanted out there....
Yeehaaaa! I'm on my way!

Embryos tell story of Earth's earliest animals Much of what scientists learn about the evolution of Earth's first animals will have to be gleaned from spherical embryos fossilized under very specific conditions, [...] Purported animal embryo fossils have been reported continuously over the last 12 years, mainly by paleontologists working in China. Scientists disagree about whether the fossils are actually animal embryos or even if they are animals.

Worm Procreation: 50 Ways to Be Your Lover When it comes to love among worms, there's more than one way for a gal to leave her lover and still keep the worm population booming.
In a study published in the April 3 issue of Developmental Cell, University of Maryland biology professor Eric Haag shows with genetic analysis that, while the female sex of two very closely related nematodes both evolved from female ancestors to become hermaphrodites - both female and male in one [...]

Are they saying that the well known phrase, "Go play with yourself" has both some historical and biological signifigance?

Hmmmm....does appear the expression, "Guilty look upon one's face", also has credence. Even if Fogarty isn't in the building.

'Scent of a woman' tells male redback spiders to find a mate If men think finding a nice partner to settle down and raise children with is tough, consider the plight of the male Australian redback spider. Instead of personality conflicts, spats over in-laws and financial worries, imagine that immediately after the first time you have sex, your partner — who is 100 to 200 times your body weight — will eat you alive.
