We had 71 yesterday, but back in the 50's today. Was 50 when I got up this morning, and I think the parsley would stand back up if the temperature would stay there for a few days.

Is that an euphemism?Donahoo wrote:We had 71 yesterday, but back in the 50's today. Was 50 when I got up this morning, and I think the parsley would stand back up if the temperature would stay there for a few days.

No, just a comment on the parsley growing in the backyard. It has survived the winter until now, and is still green, though just lying flat.lswot wrote:Is that an euphemism?Donahoo wrote:We had 71 yesterday, but back in the 50's today. Sunshine, here.
What's that noise? Oh. the Oceans roar. In two weeks that 'roar' will be the Grand Prix....but, for now.....it's the Ocean. I'm glad I'll be in Burbank for the Grand Slam when LB has the Grand Prix. Lots of traffic and I invaribly forget it is Prix weekend and try to go downtown.

Not to mention going deaf from the noise. I did have Jury duty one Prix weekend...well, Friday. They were having the trial runs and even from where I was......6th floor of the court house which is on Ocean Blvd. just above the race area....you could hear the roar of the cars. During lunch break I did go out on the balcony and watch them prictice. Gets a little boring, really.Xjmt wrote:Ya mean to tell us you actually do NOT like spending hours looking for a parking spot just so you have an opportunity to buy an hour old semi-warm hotdog??

We get an air show here in Sept. Them suckers fly between the downtown buildings. Quite a racket. We also get an auto race around a downtown airport but I think it's Formula 1 recers. That's smaller cars isn't it? Or do they want to change to Formula 1? Whatever.
Both air show and race (different weekends) use the same downtown airport. We've never gone mostly because on sunny days there's absolutely NO cover from the Sun's rays. Grilled ribs and fried patrons.

Well.....being so close to the airport...when there's an air show we all get it free. Even the planes that fly over the Rose Parade sometimes take off and land, here. Kind of neat, really.
As for the race.......I'm glad I don't live any closer than I do.
