Actually, this area (mid-Colorado) tends to get less rain than it needs.

Pike's Peak looks like it just got a fresh white blanket, even though down here in the "valley" (if 6000 ft can be called that?) it's been in the fifties, sixties, or even seventies in the afternoons lately.
