Movies caught up on Video

Two of them this past weekend:

Ratatoullie, I didn't think I was gonna like this but it was a laugh riot for me. At least until the end which I thought was a little too PC for me. It's the cartoon story of a rat who wants to become a French chef in Paris.

Juno. Again a story that could have fallen flat in lesser hands but the preggers teen finds a couple to adopt her baby. No PC ending here but the story just flows with a lot of familiar faces from favorite TV shows. Talent does win out! Entertaining, funny, sad but emotionally satisfying.

Thanks for the review. I missed both while they were at the theater. I love all the Pixar movies, and was planning to get Ratatouille. I also want to get Juno. I am a big Cinemagic (XM Radio) fan, and the bits of dialog that they played from Juno were hillarious, so that is on my list. :)

"In The Valley of Elah" starring Tommy Lee Jones. Charlize Theron and Susan Sarandon.

Former military man (TLJ) son is reported AWOL so he sets out to discover the story for himself. During the movie TLJ tells a kid (Charlize Theron's son, she playes a detective trying to help TLJ) the story of David and Goliath which happened in the valley of Elah. Don't ask me, I wasn't there. This movie was seen by very few people in theatres and I have to hope it does somewhat better in video but it's a tough movie to take. That and the fact it's about the current conflict with US troops in the Mid-East which nobody seems to care about because (I believe) there's no longer a draft/conscription. In any case the conclusion which left my wife confused is especially tough to take. Everything is there during the story she just didn't put things together. And she's the smart one in the family.

MICHAEL CLAYTON: Starring George Clooney

Well made but convoluted. I'd like to see it again in hopes of figuring out what part of the puzzle goes where.
