Some good friends of mine hosted a BBQ/pool party Saturday, with about 50 or 60 people showing up. I crashed there Saturday night, then had to get up early to go to Disney World to take advantage of their "free on your birthday" promotion. Already having an annual pass and therefore having no use for a 1-day free admission, they instead gave me a gift card with the value of a 1-day admission on it ($79!). We went into Epcot for a couple of hours and shopped, then headed up to my mother's home for a birthday feast. And I mean feast. It was like Thanksgiving dinner.

Sounds like you had a busy weekend. Well deserved, my Friend, well deserved.
I live about 40 minutes from Disneyland and I haven't been there for some time.....That's something to put on my list.
Next week.......VEGAS! Baby!!!!!

Speaking of Vegas...
Friday: Join TrekMovie to see Star Trek one last time on big screen
Are you going to the convention in Las Vegas and wondering what to do on Friday night? Well fret not. TrekMovie is hosting a meet-up at the Regency Tropicana Cinemas to catch the Star Trek movie one last time on the big screen (at the Friday August 7th, 9:55PM showing). On hand will be [Anthony Pascale, administrator of TrekMovie], along with TrekMovie’s Kayla as well as the gangs from TrekCast and the USS Las Vegas fan club. Following the movie there will be a Q&A to discuss the film as well as a trivia contest with some Star Trek prizes, plus some other Star Trek give-aways. All that and it is only $3, with tickets available at the theater. After the event you can head over to Putters Bar & Grill next to the theater and wait for a taxi and get a drink with your fellow Trekkies.

Thanks for the heads up on the movie showing. I'll have to check the schedule. I think that's the night of the Gold dinner at the Stratosphere.....but, not sure. Yeah......the Stratosphere.....they take The Experience away from us and give us the Stratosphere. Oh, yeah....and the rides are free, as many times as you want. That's not gonna happen. As it is, we'll be on the 108th floor. Hmm, maybe I will go see that movie. :?
