OK. Been playing with my folders and took out some photos and added some others. Mostly in the Travel folder. So if you have the time and just want to look as some photos feel free to do so.Xjmt wrote:OK. Back to the old drawing board.

Actually both Florida and Savannah, GA. Florida, no dolphins showed up but the Captain Mike's ride out of the Savannah area had a slew of dolphins. Not out but on the way back in. And we only picked that cruise cuz one of our friends on the trip is named Mike and has his own boat.
The (sp) Lippizani (sp) stallions are trained on a farm outside Bradenton, Florida. The admission is FREE but they do ask for donations. Off hand all I can remember is the entrance is on Fruitville Road.
I'm still working on getting a photo or two of the second new kitty posted.

It wouldn't by any chance look like a tug boat, would it? Our friends' boat is a red (sort of) tug boat by some outfit on the west coast with a name something like American Tug.trucker2000 wrote:Well, lets see, my name is Mike, and I have a boat. I guess that make me captain.Xjmt wrote:"G" I didn't know that you knew me. (in person that is)
"G" Are you a Captain Mike also??
The Captain Mike in GA had what I believe was a converted fishing vessel. Or, as Chekov would call it, "A wessel".

Nope. Mine used to be red, but I painted it blue. Looks much better. It's only 21' long and has an outboard engine, so I don't think it qualifies as a tug. It's named "Salty Dog"
I'll see if I can dig up a pic. I used to have one or three on the web.

You can teach an old dog new tricks.

Speaking of which our boat friends called last night. It seems that some idiot running his boat was taking on water. Or so they thought. So instead of heading for safe harbor they all went to the rear of that boat to bail out the water. Nobody was steering much less watching where they were going. They rammed our friends boat in the side.
A patch will fix the damage but then the boat isn't worth as much if they want to sell it with an obvious patch on the side. OTOH to replace the entire side, which sounds like their only other option, could cost somewhere around $100K.
Well, figure. A dented bumper on today's cars can cost around $500 to repair.
