When red-lining a document for editing and you have marked a word for deletion and then change your mind, you write "stet" to mean leave it as-is.

Stet lead to stat for me because they sound similar, and of course, stat means "right now" in hospital lingo.

Ah-ha! The dawn comes! :scratchhead: I've heard of it but never used it. Now I'm not saying I've never changed my mind, just never used it. :lol:
