I don't recall exactly which one, but the one that occured during the world series was the Loma Preata quake.

No.......the Northridge was in the morning (I was still in bed.....but, not for long). Northridge did collapse part of the I-10 freeway.brian wrote:Wasn't it Northridge that leveled the freeways? Was that the one that occurred during the World Series game?
The one during the World Series game was up North...somewhere off the coast, I think. That one collapsed a two tiered hwy in Oakland and did some damage to the Oakland Bay bridge. I was getting ready to leave for a History Tour in Maryland and Virginia, that year and was dubious about going, but, did go.......and had a great time. Got as much info from the papers, there, as I would have here. I went to a Civil War Round Table meeting in Gathersburg and Krick (can't think of his first name.....Civil War Historian/Author) was the featured speaker. He and his Son were in San Francisco, at the game....and he related how really scary it was.....I can only imagine.
