We're looking at an 81-degree sunset on Halloween. Perfect weather for wearing a costume. :?

Actually, I have one in my closet that you might recognize.

Image

I have that actual uniform, worn by Michael Ironside on SeaQuest 2032. The show was filmed here at Universal Studios Orlando, and when the show went out of production, I bought Capt. Hudson's dress uniform at auction (everything but the hat.. I have the shirt, jacket, trousers and shoes, along with all the pins and ribbons). I also picked up some props from the show. The uniform didn't fit me then, but it does now.

Depending on how beastly hot (that's one of my mother's phrases, lol) it is, I may just wear it to a party on Saturday.

My only concern is, is it too "ordinary"? The show was set about 30 years in the future, so the dress uniform was a slightly streamlined version of a contemporary Navy uniform. Would an average person not get that it's futuristic and just think I'm wearing a Navy uniform? People who have seen the show should recognize the United Earth Oceans (UEO) badging. This patch is on each shoulder:

And a metal version of it is pinned on the breast pocket, which you can see in the lower left of the uniform pic.

Then again, I see guys every year dressed as football referees, so I guess "ordinary" is relative.

Something about this weekend brings to mind a quote from Chief O'brian - "I hate temporal mechanics!". ;)

Ok, who ordered the rain?? It was supposed to be partly cloudy all week. Now, as of this morning, it's supposed to rain and be cold all week. :scratchhead:

Oh, and it's going to be 71 and partly cloudy in Los Angeles on New Years day. go figure.

Rain? It snowed here about a week ago, and hasn't gotten warm enough to melt it yet.

It was 68 and partly cloudy in Anaheim yesterday. That I could handle. :) Now, the 2.5 hours in traffic to go 20 miles......I can live without that. :truce:
It's rainy and still foggy here at home.
