Interesting day yesterday.

At home, 3 tornado's north and east of us, plus lots of rain.

(for the rain)

For me,

Hook up hose, start blowing sand into pipe, get text message on my phone: Severe dust warning.
Contractor on the job starts digging a trench. Get's text message: Severe dust event imminent.
I start driving. Get text message: Severe dust storm in area. Do not travel.

The problem: light wind, no dust, but there were a few sprinkles.

The best part... no Snow on top of Tehachapi while I was driving across this morning.

Forecast for home tomorrow? Partly cloudy. Saterday: prepare to get drenched.

Truck has become our weather man? Had friends coming back from Palm Springs and they said the dust was really bad.....couldn't even see the mountains...They didn't drive in it.

Here it snowed Sunday night. Monday morning, nearly lost footing on way to car, spent minutes scraping ice off windows, spun wheels turning from side road onto main road, then when I got to office, guy at desk said there's no power in the building.

It was a weird day.

Last week it was warm for a few days, and it's predicted to be warm a few days from now.
