Most of the improvement is in Southern California..... Sorry it's not the same in the North. Yes, the smoke and ash was close enough for me.
Things have calmed down quite a bit.......here. Winds should pick up by the weekend...sorry to say.

This is reminding me of 5 1/2 years ago when I had to skedaddle eastward for a few days. But only smoke got this far then. Well, that and a lizard population that apparently also evacuated its former territory.

No cal is getting the wind again.

Just as they started to get a handle on it. Woke up this morning hacking due to the smoke. This afternoon, Mojave is full of smoke. Don't know where that fire is. Glad I'm staying in Bakersfield. Just a tad hazy, Nothing like it is at home, but will be back home tomorrow.

Fires are 55-75% contained and people are going home. (or for some, to a vacant lot) Yayyyy, the smoke is going away.

Saw a beautiful story of some guys returning home to retrieve the body of their dog only to be greeted by their dog! I gotta wonder how the pup survived amid all that destruction. If only dogs could talk!
